Our safeguarding policy at Kidswell Health

  1. Introduction and Scope

 

Kidswell Health is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable individuals from harm, abuse, and neglect. This policy outlines how concerns are raised and managed to ensure their safety. Applies to all employees, contractors, and associates working with children, young people, and vulnerable individuals. 

 

  1. Preventative Measures

 

  • Mandatory safeguarding training for staff. 
  • Robust recruitment procedures, including background checks. 
  • Adherence to a strict code of conduct. 
  • Regular risk assessments to mitigate safeguarding risks.

 

  1. Reporting Concerns

 

  • Children & Young People: Safe spaces for them to express concerns. 
  • Parents & Guardians: Direct reporting channels via staff or email. 
  • Staff: Must report concerns immediately using the internal system. 

 

  1. Safeguarding Lead & Contact Information

 

  • Lead: Dr. Robert Stellman, Medical Director (robert.stellman@kidswellhealth.com). 
  • Immediate Danger: Call emergency services at 999. 
  • Internal Reporting: Concerns must be reported within 24 hours. 
  • External Authorities: Cases meeting intervention thresholds are escalated to Barnet Council’s Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) at 020 8359 4066. 

 

  1. Investigation & Response

 

  • Concerns are assessed internally by the Safeguarding Lead. 
  • Collaboration with local authorities or police if needed. 
  • Support for affected individuals, including counseling. 
  • Documentation of outcomes and preventative actions. 

 

  1. Accessibility of Safeguarding Information

 

  • Age-appropriate materials for children and families. 
  • Digital and printed information for staff and service users. 

 

  1. Policy Review & Monitoring

 

  • Reviewed annually (next review: 1st December 2026). 
  • Monitored through audits, staff feedback, and incident reports.
