At Kidswell Health, we provide comprehensive private ADHD assessments for children and young people, available in our clinic (Golders Green, North West London) and with certain elements available online, depending on what’s most appropriate.
Our assessments follow NICE guidance (the same national standards used in the NHS), so you can feel confident the process is thorough, evidence-based and child-centred.
We follow an MDT-led approach, with involvement from multiple clinicians depending on the specific needs of each child. From Neurodevelopmental Paediatricians, such as Dr Nicole Horwitz, to Clinical Psychologists and Occupational Therapists.Â

We use a staged approach, which means you can start with an initial assessment first. Further diagnostic stages are only recommended if needed.
This helps families avoid unnecessary appointments and ensures your child receives the right assessment pathway.
Stage One gives us a detailed understanding of your child’s development and current needs. It also helps us confirm whether a full ADHD diagnostic assessment is appropriate. Stage One typically takes around 2 hours of your time and includes:

– Payment must be made upfront before each stage to confirm the appointment.
– Some parts of the assessment can be completed online. However, we usually recommend the initial parent appointment and child observation take place in the clinic where possible.
– Before booking Stage One, we may ask you to complete a short form or schedule a brief call so our clinicians can ensure this service is the right fit for your requirements.Â
– Assessments typically take place on Thursdays or Fridays. If we are fully booked, we may offer a waiting list.
– In some cases, after the initial assessment we may recommend an autism assessment instead of, or alongside, an ADHD assessment, depending on your child’s presentation and needs. Find out more here.
