Hillel has many years’ experience in the NHS as a child psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, and is currently a Senior Lecturer on the Clinical Doctorate in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy at the Tavistock Centre. 

As well as working in generic CAMHS, Hillel has also worked in specialist Looked After Children and neurodevelopmental teams in the NHS. He seeks to support families with a holistic understanding of children and adolescents’ mental health difficulties, where the ‘whole’ of their child can be understood beyond their diagnoses.   

Hillel is keen to get to know and understand children and adolescents as unique human beings with unique life experiences as a guide towards understanding what might be helpful for them. He is particularly keen to support young people whose mental health difficulties are persistent, and where the origins of their difficulties are not immediately apparent, which can benefit from exploration within a safe and trusting therapeutic space.   

Hillel offers short, medium and long term individual psychotherapy for children and adolescents, as well as working with families and with parents.
