Stavros is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the HCPC. He has over 14 years experience working across a variety of NHS and private care settings. Stavros has also worked for larger organisations to support the delivery of wellbeing initiatives across a variety of charity, education and community services.
Stavros works with children, families and adults. Stavros works collaboratively with clients, adapting his approach to suit the individual needs of the child, family or adult he is supporting.
He specialises in areas including low mood, anxiety, relationship difficulties, intrusive thoughts, school difficulties and trauma.
Stavros has been trained to use a range of therapeutic models. In particular he uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Systemic (Family) Therapy approaches.
Stavros is valued for being a highly motivated, passionate and committed therapist. Stavros has a particular interest in supporting therapy delivered in a group format. Prior to his clinical training, he worked in research and completed PhD which focused on exploring how to optimise delivery of therapy in groups. Stavros has a keen interest in teaching and has delivered lectures at Queen Mary University of London (on both undergraduate and post-graduate courses) and on the Clinical Psychology Doctorate course at UCL. Stavros has published a number of peer-reviewed journal articles addressing a variety of topics, including group therapy, adult mental health and child mental health.
